According to the Saudi Arabia, one highly protected crude facilities of the world came into the target of missile attack on last Sunday. It leads to clear escalation of the hostilities which hiking up the oil prices.

Although interception was done for the missile and drone attacks and there is no affect can be observed on crude production yet. But Iran-backed Houthi rebels claim to upsurge the oil prices above $71 due to this assaults spate.

It is considered to be the most dangerous and serious attacks to Saudi oil and crude installations as in September 2019, 2 oil fields including a key processing facility get damaged due to fire. This had been caused a serious vulnerability to the Saudi Petroleum Industry stopping the oil generation for many days. It is claimed by Houthi rebels of Yemen while Riyadh is indicating the arch-rival Iran as the main culprit.

As per Saudi Energy Ministry, a storage tank in Ras Tanura export terminal of the Gulf coast of the country was set by fire by a drone from sea on Sunday. A land is observed for the Sharpnel from missile close to the employees’ residential compound of Saudi Aramco, a national oil company situated in Dhahran. The spokesperson of the Saudi Energy Ministry reveals, “No loss of property and life has been resulted from both of the attacks.”A close source also said that there is no affect in the oil generation output as well.

Huge Facility

The largest oil terminal of the world, Ras Tanura is able to export approx 6.5 million barrels a day only 7% of the total oil demand possesses highly secured installations. It comprises of a massive storage tank for storing crude before it is pumped out in the super-tankers.

Since 2015, Iran-backed Houthis are fighting with the Saudi-led coalition in civil war of Yemen.

A retaliatory air strike has been conducted on Sunday on Sana’a, the capital of Yemen. It is said to intercept to the drones and missiles launched to the kingdowm from its neighbor Yemen, alike Houthis rebel belief it as a session of attacks along one on the Ras Tanura.

14 bomb-laden drones and 8 ballistic missiles had been launched by the group at Saudi Arabia as per the spokesperson of Houthis, Yahya Saree statement to Houthi-run Al Masirah television.
