VPS Healthcare's Burjeel Hospitals has been assigned as the UAEFA's official partner for the group stage matches

The UAE Football Association (UAEFA) announced on Sunday that VPS Healthcare, based in Abu Dhabi, will provide bio-secure bubbles for the AFC Champions League 2021 Group Stage, which will be held in Sharjah next month.

VPS Healthcare's Burjeel Hospitals has been named the UAEFA's official partner for the group stage matches. The healthcare company, which was previously the tournament's medical partner, will have full medical coverage for the event, including RT-PCR testing for players, match officials, and assistants.

On Sunday, UAEFA General Secretary Mohammed Hazzam Al Dhaheri and VPS Healthcare CEO Dr. Shajir Gaffar signed a cooperation agreement at the UAEFA headquarters in Dubai.

Al Dhaheri said that the relationship would benefit all aspects of Emirati football on a local level and that the positive results would be sensed shortly.

Pre-competition medical tests, Covid-19 PCR monitoring, care for injured players, paramedic assistance for teams at sporting sites, and inpatient treatment for players and team members will all be provided by Burjeel Hospitals in Dubai and Sharjah.

“We take this task with great honor and responsibility,” VPS Healthcare Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil stated. He further adds that their medical staff is well-trained and has a wealth of experience in organizing and facilitating medical specifications for the IPL 2020 and other international tournaments year after year. The same multidisciplinary team will be dispatched to this location keeping all the required preventive measures in mind.
