Emirates Islamic Announces The Winner Of Huawei Promotional Campaign

Emirates Islamic, one of the UAE's most influential Islamic financial institutions, has announced its winners for its advertising campaign with Huawei.

Customers who registered and transacted on the award-winning Emirates Islamic Online Banking and Mobile Banking platforms for a chance to win exciting giveaways were eligible to participate in the promotion. It ran from January 2021 to January 2022.

Nymot Ngabo Saka, a Chadian national, won the grand prize of AED 100,000. Abdul Sattar Abdul Rehman, a Pakistani national, received a HUAWEI Mate40 Pro smartphone. Humaid Abdulla Abdulla Alkindi, a UAE national, received a HUAWEI WATCH GT2 smartwatch. Ahmad Fawzi Husni Mohammad of Jordan, Arman Haider, and Syed Ahamed Nazeer Ahamed of India received a pair of HUAWEI Freebuds 3i earphones.

Farid Al Mulla, Deputy Head of Consumer Banking and Wealth Management at Emirates Islamic further confirms that their recent promotional campaign, in collaboration with Huawei, was designed to increase adoption and encouraging more customers to use our online and mobile channels for reliable, and seamless banking, further enhancing the appeal for a strong digital proposition. He expressed heartfelt congratulations to the winners.

Their commitment to local and global partners has aided their distribution network. HUAWEI AppGallery is quickly becoming one of the top three marketplaces in the world, offering a diverse selection of creative applications.

Almost 70% of customers are now banking via online banking platforms. Emirates Islamic's digital-first strategy is gaining momentum. Emirates Islamic became the first Islamic bank in the UAE to launch a mobile banking app on the HUAWEI AppGallery platform in December 2020, allowing customers to access their accounts and cards and easily transfer money or apply for finance and credit cards.

With over 530 million monthly active users and over 700 million Huawei smartphones, the HUAWEI AppGallery is the world's third-largest mobile app marketplace. In the second half of 2020, HUAWEI AppGallery will be available in over 170 countries and territories, with 384 billion user app updates. Over 2.3 million developers from around the world have entered the Huawei Mobile Services community, with 120,000 apps integrating with Huawei Mobile Services Core, providing consumers with exclusive experiences.
