In Dubai Duty-Free raffle draw, Pakistani and Belgian nationals each won $1 million

A Pakistani and a Belgian national were joined to the lengthy list of dollar millionaires, whereas five others won luxury automobiles when Dubai Duty-Free held the latest draw for the Dubai Duty-Free Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise promotions on Wednesday at Concourse B at Dubai International Airport's Terminal 3.

Waseem Ramzan, a Pakistani national living in Saudi Arabia, won $1 million in Millennium Millionaire Series 358 with ticket number 4848, which he bought online on April 14.

Ramzan was unable to comment immediately, although he will certainly be thrilled to discover his unexpected fortune.

Ramzan is joined in the Dubai Duty-Free Millennium Millionaire's Circle by Gert Maria Kloeck, a 42-year-old Belgian national living in Dubai who was however named the winner of $1 million in Millennium Millionaire Series 359 with ticket number 2036, which he bought online on May 12.

Kloeck, a father of two who works and as a senior project manager for Abu Dhabi Ports, has been a frequent participant in Dubai Duty-Free's program since 2017.

Kloeck, who has lived in Dubai for six years and will be a year older at the end of this month, remarked, "What an early birthday present!" Thank you very much, Dubai Duty-Free, for this wonderful surprise!”

Kloeck will be the first Belgian to win a million dollars since the Millennium Millionaire promotion started in 1999.

Dubai Duty-Free's Executive Vice Chairman & CEO, Colm McLoughlin, EVP – Corporate Services, Salah Tahlak, and Sinead El Sibai, SVP – Marketing handled the Millennium Millionaire draw on Wednesday.

Following the Millennium Millionaire draw, the Finest Surprise draw for two luxury automobiles and three motorcycles was held.

Bernard Creed, SVP – Finance, Mona Al Ali, SVP – Human Resources, Michael Schmidt, SVP Retail Support, and Sharon Beecham, VP – Purchasing all participated in the lottery draw.

Yutaro Adachi, a Japanese national residing in Tokyo, won a Range Rover Sport HSE Dynamic 3.0 P360 (Fuji White) automobile with ticket number 0280 in Finest Surprise Series 1773, that he bought on his April 28, 2021, return to Tokyo from Dubai.

Adachi is now unavailable and will undoubtedly be astonished to learn of his win.

Dany Abi Khalil, a 46-year-old Lebanese national living in Dubai, won a BMW 760Li xDrive (Mineral White Metallic) automobile with ticket number 0376 in the Finest Surprise Series 1774, that he bought online on May 10.

Abi Khalil has been a frequent participant in Dubai Duty-Free's marketing for three years and working as a general manager for the French business Lactalis.

“Million thanks to Dubai Duty-Free. I will keep participating in your fantastic offer, and perhaps I may win the $1 million the next time I get your call,” he stated.

Arun Kundumkara, 35, of Sharjah, won a BMW F 850 GS Adventure (Black/Yellow) motorcycle having ticket number 0471 in Finest Surprise Series 453, which he bought in April 27.

Kundumkara, a Sharjah resident for over ten years, is a father of one and works as a system administrator for Sony Middle East.

“Wow, this is truly unexpected; thank you, Dubai Duty-Free! “I applaud you on your promotion,” he remarked.

Roysten Aranjo, a 41-year-old Indian national living in Sharjah, won a Harley-Davidson Sportster 48 XL 1200X (Vivid Black) motorcycle with ticket number 0113 in Finest Surprise Series 454, that he purchased online on April 19.

Aranjo, the proprietor of an air conditioning repair company, was overjoyed to know that he had won a Harley motorcycle even though he had just begun purchasing tickets in Dubai Duty-Free's offer last month.

“Many thanks to Dubai Duty-Free. “I can't even believe I've already won,” he shouted.

Finally, Evelyn Laus, a 49-year-old Filipino national living in Dubai, won a BMW R nineT Scrambler (Kalamta Metallic Matt) motorcycle having ticket number 0825 in Finest Surprise Series 455, which she bought online on May 6.

Laus has been a frequent participant in Dubai Duty-Free's promotion since 2016. She has lived in Dubai for nine years and working as a salesperson for Just Accessories.

“Thanks to Dubai Duty-Free. The money I'll earn from trading this motorcycle will undoubtedly help me in long term,” she remarked.
