Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) has announced the unveiling of two new beach construction projects totaling Dhs197 million, complete with world-class social amenities, to develop the emirate's retail, tourism, and hospitality infrastructure and to improve Sharjah's allure as appropriate leisure and adventure location.

The forthcoming Dhs110 million Al Luluyah Beach project near Khorfakkan on the emirate's eastern coast, and the Dhs87 million Al Hira Beach project in Sharjah city, would contain amenities for all tourists, children's playgrounds, restaurants, cafés, and retail shops. The development projects for Al Luluyah Beach also include a women-only beach, public beaches, and swimming pools.

These intentions were disclosed by Marwan Bin Jassim Al Sarkal, Executive Chairman of Shurooq, during one live interview on Sharjah Radio and TV, both of which are associated with the Sharjah Broadcast Authority.

Al Sarkal emphasized that the latest advancements support His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, in his vision to further establish the emirate's infrastructure in a way that promotes leisure, social interaction, and community development by providing residents and citizens with world-class public amenities.

“The two additional multi-purpose family-friendly beach development projects are following Shurooq's aim to deliver authentic leisure tourist activities that suit the aspirations of residents and tourists in the emirate,” Al Sarkal said in declaring the new projects. The initiative also accords with our aim of leveraging the capabilities of young entrepreneurs in the emirate and outside to establish long-term, high-growth companies.”

“Both local and foreign travelers are progressively searching unusual experiences,” Al Sarkal noted. Sharjah is well-positioned to reimagine the experiences of beachgoers and tourists, and also satisfy the expanding requirements of its developing community, with its broad length of beautiful coasts and supply of extensive facilities and services that surpass global standards.”

As per Shurooq's Executive Chairman, the two new attractions will add to the entity's portfolio of comprehensive sustainable tourist products in the emirate. “By conducting such infrastructure projects, Shurooq wants to assist Sharjah's economic diversification, improve GDP growth, and provide enhanced investment possibilities in a variety of industries spanning from tourism, hospitality, entertainment, and retail to F&B.”

The Al Luluyah Beach, located in one of the UAE's most lively and natural shorelines and set opposite the background of a stunning mountain range, will provide unrivaled experiences for both leisure and fitness to meet the demands of families, residents, and visitors. Construction of the Dhs 110 million projects, which will span the 1.6-kilometer Luluyah coastline, will begin in a few months and is expected to be completed in November 2022.

And according to Shurooq, the development of the family-friendly Al Luluyah Beach project on Sharjah's eastern coast builds mostly on accomplishment and appeal of the overhauling of Khorfakkan Beach and is in sync with the company's strategy of developing key infrastructure projects that cover retail, hospitality, and family vacation spots throughout the emirate of Sharjah. The enhanced activities will mix the finest of leisure and exercise while maintaining the highest level of safety and quality standards to provide an all-around holistic experience to the increasing community and holiday travelers.

Al Luluyah Beach's kid-friendly amenities will include caravan camping, a swimming island containing slides, trampolines, nets, and swing ropes, and a small swimming pool. Another significant product would be the ‘Safe Beach,' which would be a segment of the Al Luluyah Beach shoreline and a stretch of the low-lying beach waters walled off by contemporary wooden ramps and a boardwalk enabling kids and parents to reach this unique, child-friendly zone.

The Adventure Beach, one more thrilling portion, will include a zipline station, climbing garden, leisure nets, loungers, resting stations, and other water activities. They would also include children's playgrounds, women-only and public beaches, panoramic dining, beach café and shopping, toilets and changing places, an open-air cinema and lounge, a gym, and parking spaces.

The projected plans for converting the surrounding Souefeh mountain into an adventurer's paradise, the Adventure Mountain, are an essential component of the Al Luluyah Beach development project.

For an even more thrilling adventure, thrill-seekers may enjoy an exhilarating mountain coaster ride, explore the gorgeous mountain road on a Fatboy bike, or experience the adrenaline-pumping exhilaration of a zipline journey from the top of the picture-perfect mountain towards the sandy beaches of Al Luluyah Beach.

Glass bottomed watching platforms and net walkways constructed to the strongest safety requirements will be significant attractions at the Al Luluyah Beach project to meet the rising demand for new ways to enjoy the stunning views of the natural surroundings.
