Individuals across the world, comes together on International Yoga Day to breathe freely and chase the blues away

People from different walks of life come together to celebrate International Yoga Day, which comes on Monday, June 21st.

Apart from India, where yoga apparently started, individuals in New York, Pakistan, Palestine, Malaysia, and throughout the world commemorated International Yoga Day by conducting open yoga classes for everybody.

Further, a group of Palestinian paramedics practiced yoga on a beach in Gaza City.

In the middle of coronavirus restrictions and lockdowns, people flocked to the outdoor spaces to breathe deeply and stretch the troubles away.

As many individuals suffering from coronavirus limitations and lockdown and continue to stay indoors, yoga provides a glimmer of hope for revitalizing mental health and physical welfare.

The term 'Yoga,' which is originated from the Sanskrit root 'Yuj,' which means 'to connect,' 'to yoke,' or 'to combine,' refers to a physical exercise that is done primarily to keep the body and mind fit.

Yoga, as per Yogic texts, contributes to the unification of individual consciousness and that of the Universal Consciousness, implying a completely harmonious relationship between the mind and body, Man and Nature.
