The government sector's culture of innovation has been highlighted

The inaugural virtual session of the 'Digital Next Leadership Series' finished on a high note on Wednesday, with passionate talks on the inexorable emergence of an innovation culture inside the government sector. 1170 delegates and VIPs from public and private sectors, and technology solution providers, attended the successful session.

The session, entitled ‘Government of the Future,' was conducted by the Department of Government Support (DGS), presented by the Abu Dhabi Digital Authority (ADDA), and organized by Messe Frankfurt Middle East ahead of the 2022 Digital Next Summit (MFME).

A panel discussion on ‘Building the World's Most Innovative Government,' a keynote presentation on ‘Insights into the Government of the Future,' and a tech presentation headlined ‘New Technologies to Enable the Government of the Future are amongst the highlights of the online event.

At the heart of the expert, discussions have been the critical role of digital transformation in governments throughout the world. The delegates dug deep into major nations' digital transformation experiences, such as the UAE, Singapore, and Estonia, to investigate the role of technology and innovation in reshaping the government services given to customers in these countries. Participants also discussed their expedited digital transformation goals and innovative collaboration formats intended for the public and private sectors, and existing and upcoming technological trends which have the potential to alter government services.

“The inaugural virtual session of the Digital Next Leadership Series focused on allowing “the Government of the Future,” said Rashid Abdulkarim Al Blooshi, Undersecretary of DED. It offers an excellent chance to shine a light on the Abu Dhabi government's digital transformation path, which highlights the considerable effort that the emirate's government devotes to promoting and staying up to date with technological advances. He also emphasized that Abu Dhabi's local economy has grown heavily reliant on technology and innovation as a keystone in the emirate's growth goals and future vision for the upcoming fifty years.

He stated that the digital transformation has become a vital driver and a crucial choice for promoting the Emirate of Abu Dhabi's attempts to respond to, address, and catch up with the changes caused by the "COVID-19" pandemic. He also emphasized the role of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development in constructing a knowledge-based economy that is reliant on technological solutions by promoting digital metamorphosis for all its services and support proposals designed to assist private companies, letting them increase their competitiveness regionally and internationally across all fields.

Dr. Mohamed AbdelHameed Al Askar, Director General of ADDA, stated, "Due to the government's increased efforts to change the public sector and foster successful partnership with commercial organizations, Abu Dhabi has become renowned as one of the world's most competitive and creative cities." Its ongoing embrace of innovative technology and the application of relevant legislation, all are making a significant impact on the emirate's transition to a digital future. Today's session provided an excellent chance for anyone to exchange ideas and experiences with one another. It enabled us to shine a light on the Abu Dhabi Government's rapid digitization efforts to enhance different government procedures and make the lives easier.”

The UAE Government's Chief of Government Services in the Prime Minister's Office, Mohammed Bin Taliah, emphasized that producing a complete digital transformation of services has become a priority for the UAE government. This is a strategic aim that prepares the way for a seamless and proactive customer experience that matches consumers' goals, significantly simplifies their lives, and increases trust between government and society.

According to Bin Taliah, the Digital Next Summit is a pioneering platform that provides insights into visions and methods to speed up the UAE's digital transformation efforts, possibilities for exchanging expertise, knowledge, and best practices in this domain, and support forging collaboration and cooperation at the federal and local stages involved in designing future services that are human-centric.

During the virtual session, the presenters also emphasized the UAE's unwavering commitment to integrating cutting-edge technology and infusing innovation through its institutions to bring delight to its citizens, enrich their experience, and increase their living standards in a contemporary world.

The UAE's implementation of a new creative service delivery operational model for citizen-government interactions was highlighted in particular. The delegates also discussed the expanding importance of public-private partnerships (PPPs) in enhancing government services and boosting the country's customer experience.
