Children in refugee camps, soar into the world filled with hope through inspiring stories by Syrian storyteller Asmaa Rasheed

Asmaa Rasheed, a young Syrian refugee storyteller, discovers an extraordinary approach to help children living in camps, by bringing them relief.

Asmaa Rasheed, who lives in the Zaatari refugee camp outside the Jordanian city of Mafraq, attempts to write fascinating stories in her house and narrates them to the children who come to listen to her.

Asmaa greets the young kids before her storytelling session at the camp with profound affection and ensures that the children are at ease before she begins her sessions.

The camp is packed with children, many of whom have sacrificed a substantial portion of their childhood because of undergoing severe pain and suffering.

Her modest attempt to transport the children into an imaginary universe full of hope and love is a feeling of relief for parents who regard this gesture as a small light of normalcy penetrating the lives of their otherwise devastated children.
