Some fascinating facts about Qasr Al-Great Watan's Hall

Princess Tarfa

The magnificence of ancient Arab architecture and arts is embodied in the Great Hall in Qasr Al Watan. Its unique design was focused on splitting the walls into three levels to display the structure, along with 12 huge carved marble panels.

The massive central dome, with a diameter of 37 metres, adds to the grandeur of the hall. Domes are one of the most noticeable characteristics of Arab architecture. The utilization of these distinctive geometric forms stretches back to pre-Islamic times.

The mirrored marble panels for the images, in addition to the phenomenal patterns, art installations, and numerous mosaics, contribute to the majestic beauty of the place.

The intricacies of the patterns and geometric forms gleaming in blue, yellow, and white hues, which symbolize the seas of the Arabian Gulf, the desert, tranquility, and peace, accentuate the aesthetics of Arab architecture.

Three sculptural masterpieces from the 'Power of Words' series may also be found in Qasr Al Watan. They are only found at the Palace of the Nation. These pieces of art, which include a variety of hues and sizes, are a genuine testimony to traditional Arabian workmanship and artistry.
