2.73 million people watched the Korea-UAE Festival, hosted by the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism in collaboration with the Korean Creative Content Agency (KCCA) and the Korea Foundation for International Culture Exchange (KOFICE).

Various activities, including the "Korean Content Festival," showcased Korean content to the Middle East. K-Pop events featuring six K-Pop stars and Emirati opera singer Fatima Al Hashemi commemorated the cultural dialogue between the UAE and South Korea in 2020 and 2021.

The festival, according to Noura Bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Youth, "highlighted the enduring friendship between the two countries, which goes back over 40 years."

"In the coming year, we are looking forward to a new era of dialogue, and hope to strengthen through several initiatives that will celebrate our shared values, such as diversity, coexistence, and transparency," she said.

"There is an Arab proverb that those who spend 40 days with people you become one of them," Hwang Hee, South Korea's Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, said. "Now that our countries' alliance has lasted for over 40 years, we can claim that we have become good and faithful friends."

"We are ecstatic to bring the communities of our two countries together today for a K-Pop show to commemorate the cultural exchange year. Music is a universal human language that transcends linguistic and ethnic barriers ", Hwang Hee added.

Digital seminars were also held during the Korean Content Festival, with 24 speakers and suppliers from the Middle East, as well as 28 Korean companies and 43 business consultations.

At the virtual gathering, the most famous Korean K-POP groups such as MAMAMOO, B.I.G, ASTRO, NCT DREAM, THE BOYZ, and aespa, as well as Emirati Opera singer Fatima Al Hashmi, performed. The KOREA-UAE K-POP FESTIVAL was made even more impressive by a pairing between a Korean K-POP group and a local singer.
