Since 2017, Al Otaiba is a member of Ministry of Foreign affairs and most prominent female voices of Emirati in international arena.

This International Women’s Day is unique as it has observed economic and social impacts of Coronavirus, devastating health which effected women badly.

Recently, Hend Al Otaiba, the director of strategic communication at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was interviewed by Khaleej Times in which she discloses the importance of leadership of women in recovery effort. In her own journey, she was greatly inspired by female mentors and expected that on this International Women’s Day women can inspire to proceed further.

As she has written numerous op-eds for multiple foreign publications like New York’s Tablet Magazine, Saudi Arabia’s Arab News and Israel’s Haaretz Daily, she truly understands the significance of communication.

Her message to all is. “We should work together for addressing inequalities to ensure that women are not lagging behind in this crucial Covid-19 recovery period.”

Although UAE has numerous accomplishments and tailor some interesting future developmental projects too. This will be led by Sarah Al Amiri, Minister of State for Advanced Technology HE at just 34 years of age. She is one of the UAE government’s role models and latest prodigies for future generations. According to Al Otaiba, “These women will bring immense pride for the nation while paving the path for future generation of women scientists as well.”

Also recently, the government of UAE adopts numerous laws for encouraging the leadership roles in women. In 2015, Gender Balance Council was developed by UAE government for the sake of women and their roles in governmental policies.

Although the current scenario of the government has been drastically changed yet much work needs to be done for improving the women status in the society.

She expects that future women generations can excel simultaneously in every field contributing much percentage in all policies.
