A remarkable exhibit of Syrian art defies war's horrors: Arte Arta Gallery

Princess Tarfa

After ten years of conflict that ravaged an ancient civilization, the Montreal-based online visual art museum Arte Arta declared that it will represent famous Syrian artist Dr. Nizar Sabour's compilation of Syrian Sarcophaguses.

The collection serves as a powerful reminder that Syria has cultural resources to give, and also plenty to remember.

The Syrian Sarcophaguses exhibition features 55 unique pieces portraying representations of famous Syrian cultural icons in a form and shape inspired by ancient Phoenician anthropoid sarcophaguses.

It is a kind endeavor to integrate the past into the present, to utilize funeral ceremonies to honor the work of life.

Arte Arta is the sole representation for this interesting art collection, making it available to the general public and also some museums and art institutions.

Dr. Sabour desires to make his art as widely available as possible, guaranteeing that the compilation is eventually bought by a collector or organization that recognizes its full worth and significance.

"The river of death and the river of life are simultaneous, and none is bigger than the other. The significance of life is determined by what we accomplish while we are here, by our contributions and generous spirit. "This is what I constantly focus on," when questioned about the significance of his collection, Dr. Sabour replied.

Arte Arta chooses to stress the positive and the life-giving power of art. The online visual art gallery, established in Montreal, is driven by a goal to make art available to collectors worldwide.

When this relates to Syria, it is time to concentrate on the beauty and motivation of the human spirit rather than the destruction and ruination.
