An Emirati captures a photograph of a galaxy 31 million light-years away from Earth

Princess Tarfa

Khalifa Al Mazrouei, an Emirati adventurer, captured the beautiful and astounding images of a nebula and a galaxy by using modern astronomical photography equipment from the Shuka region, south of Ras Al Khaimah.

He has chosen this place for capturing the images because it has minimal light pollution, making it ideal for shooting celestial bodies.

Al Mazrouei also revealed that he had taken a photo of the Trifid Nebula, which is around 5,200 light-years distant from the solar system, over the last two days. This Nebula is found in the Milky Way galaxy.

He also photographed the Whirlpool Galaxy, which is 31 million light-years from Earth.

He further shares, “One of my interests is photographing celestial things, which requires high definition technological instruments and coding knowledge,” Al Mazrouei explained.

Al Mazrouei is a daring young Emirati who enjoys traveling. Apart from his passion for traveling, he is also a professional diver and an amateur astronomer.
