At Sharjah Heritage Days, Bhangra dancers make the crowd go "balle balle."

On the second day of the Sharjah Heritage Days (SHD), folk dancers from the Indian city of Ludhiana, Punjab, brought the stage to life with their renditions of Bhangra and other dances. The audience clapped along to the energetic beats and soaring music as the dancers in brightly colored costumes performed traditional Bhangra moves to the music of Punjabi folk instruments like the dhol and chimta.

Dance troupes from 29 countries participating in Sharjah Heritage Days will stage a variety of lively folk performances from the UAE, Macedonia, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, the Republic of Montenegro, and others.

The 18th edition of Sharjah Heritage Days, organized by the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, is a three-week festival honoring the UAE's and the world's heritage and local cultures. The 500 events and activities taking place in the Heart of Sharjah district and the Khorfakkan heritage area are open to tourists from 4–10 pm on weekdays and until midnight on weekends, and will run until April 10.
