A unique COVID-19 Contact Tracing system has been introduced by Abu Dhabi

Princess Tarfa

The Abu Dhabi Health Authority has declared the launch of a one-of-a-kind Contact Tracing Assistant System to monitor and prevent new COVID-19 infections in the nation.

The new method will boost efforts to track, forecast, and prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the community. It will gather data from positive patients through an online conversation.

The information will be used to check for symptoms, the number of individuals in contact with the patient, and the patient's most recent travel schedule.

This would be done to make sure that all contacts are isolated during the incubation period of the disease. All users will be able to access the chat in Arabic and English.

If a person tests positive for COVID, an SMS would be issued to affected patients with instructions on how to download the virtual chat.

In addition, 48 hours before the positive result, the new system would request a list of possible contacts they have come across.

However, once all of the information has been received, specialists will analyze the data and make contacts to fill in any missing or confusing information.

According to Abdulla Bin Mohamed Al Hamed, Chairman of the Department of Health (DoH), Abu Dhabi has already been employing creative and cutting-edge technologies to identify virus cases. The Tracing System would undoubtedly protect the health and safety of all community members.

He complimented all members of the DoH for their efforts since the outbreak began.
