On Sunday, The Saudi Ministry of Health (MoH) managed to reduce the age at which individuals can get Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccination to 12.

The Saudi Ministry of Health (MoH) dropped the age limit at which people can get Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine to 12 on Sunday, a decision that is anticipated to accelerate the country's immunization program.

In December 2020, the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine was approved to be used in persons aged 18 and above. The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has revised the authorization to cover children aged 12 to 18.

Those interested in taking the vaccination can schedule an appointment using the Sehaty and Tawakkalna apps.

According to the Ministry, more than 17.2 million vaccine doses have been provided through 587 vaccination facilities around the Kingdom, encompassing 70 percent of the entire adult population.
