Kate Winslet had become a worldwide ambassador for the world's largest cosmetics company

Princess Tarfa

Kate Winslet is among the best actors of any generation; she is a symbol of the significance of self-belief and a change crusader.

That is why she is the new face of L'Oreal Paris, the world's leading cosmetics company, to express the goal for women, "don't ever doubt yourself; we're all worth it."

Giving the voiceless a voice

The actress sheds her light on topics that are connected to the principles that L'Oreal Paris represents: equal rights, feminism, inclusion, and sustainability.

In both life and art, she advocates for women's rights. As domestic violence increased mostly during the lockdown, the actress teamed up with UN Women to narrate their worldwide Shadow Pandemic campaign, which encourages people to keep an eye on at-risk women.

She also supports Ovarian Cancer Action in her efforts to create a future in which no woman dies from ovarian cancer.

She is a child advocate and the creator of the Golden Hat Foundation, which advocates changing perceptions about individuals on the autism spectrum. She also pushes for the nonprofit Cardboard Citizens, which uses theatre to improve people's attitudes toward the homeless.

Her environmental initiatives encompass her support for The World Forest Organization, which aims to plant trees, provide education, and assist a Kenyan women's empowerment organization. And she lives the talk when it comes to environmental protection, having canceled the carbon emissions associated with her acting profession.

Shaping her one destiny

After skyrocketing to stardom with Titanic, Hollywood came knocking for Kate Winslet, then 21. The young actor selected meaningful roles in which she felt a personal connection and which depict women in all of their complexities.

Decided to 'be' her characters rather than just act them, she developed the range and versatility which would make her performances both critically and commercially renowned, whether she was playing a woman who has her boyfriend's memories wiped away in the breakout hit Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, an unlikable mother in Little Children, or a restless wife in Revolutionary Road.

By her early thirties, she became the youngest and most Oscar-nominated actress, receiving her first Academy Award for The Reader in 2008.

She is enthusiastic in playing women whose tales haven't been presented in a cinema, and she has worked to restore long-forgotten women to their proper position in history. In Ammonite, the second film by filmmaker Francis Lee, she portrays the forgotten story of pioneering fossil digger Mary Anning.

Kate Winslet portrays Anning, whose discovery of the most important fossils of the nineteenth century was reappropriated by her male contemporaries.

From self-doubt to self-esteem

With the transparency that inspires, Winslet describes her path from self-doubt to self-acceptance. The actress is a strong, confident champion for good self-worth, dedicating one of her numerous awards to "all the females who are questioning themselves."

The actress, who is regarded as a respected advisor for the next generation, is now acting in and executive producing HBO's critically praised series Mare of Easttown, wherein she portrays a small-town detective investigating a local murder.
