Limitations of excess number worshippers at few mosques have been implemented in Sharjah to restrict the spread of COVID-19.

The Sharjah municipal emergency, crisis, and disaster management team launched a security campaign to strengthen preventive steps at mosques and mosques in industrial, commercial, and residential sectors.

Salamah is the name of the campaign (Safety). The initiative, which began on Friday, attempts to lower the number of worshipers in mosques with limited space. Sharjah Police made the decision after conducting a quick inquiry.

It was discovered that mosques in industrial and commercial districts were unable to withstand huge numbers of worshippers, resulting in overcrowding inside the mosques. Some people were also seen praying outside the mosque there in the sun.

The police stated that the employees' buses will transport them to the major mosques located in the emirate's main squares. These mosques have a big capacity for worshipers.

Worshippers could also comply with the preventive measures provided by the UAE health ministry to decrease the spread of COVID-19 infections in the nation.

A text message would be issued to all employees informing them about the campaign. The message would also clarify the Salamah campaign's goal.

The authorities have urged all people in the community and other entities to band together and coordinate their efforts in combating the pandemic.
