  • Khubz:

    It is the flatbread (traditionally thick and baked in tandoor). It is served with grilled meats and hummus.

  • Kefta:

    Kefta is the simple grilled dish made from the meat of beef or lamb. It is usually and slightly seasoned with onions, parsley and paprika and doesn’t have gravy.

  • Tahini:

  • Mansaf:

    The national dish of Jordan can be mainly found in Saudi Arabia and Iraq. It is a jameed broth in which the cheese is derived from fermented yogurt. The dish is garnished with creamy jameed sauce, pine nut and almonds and served with meat and rice.

  • Tagine:

    It is a traditional delicacy found in Northern part in which both veggies and meats are cooked together in a conical top pot. Besides adding water or broth, the vapor is retained much identical to dum dishes in India. It is served with rice or semolina (couscous).

  • Kunafeh:

    Being the popular dessert, it is a regional version of cheesecake soaked up in syrup. It is prepared from thin noodle-like phyllo pastry and semolina dough stuffed with Nabulsi (white soft cheese inside). The outside layer is quite crunchy but the inside is softer.

  • Halva:

    Any sweet confection is known as Halva in Arabic! Any grains like semolina or wheat dense with sweets called Halva. But in Arabic, halvas are mainly nut-based and made from sugar, nut butters and tahini paste.

  • Arabic tea and coffee:

    Arabic coffee also known as Al Qahawa is served with cardamom in small handle-less cups. The Maghrebi mint tea is also very special surrounding the Arabian culture. Green tea is served with addition to mint leaves.
