All visitors arriving in Saudi Arabia have to compulsorily enter institutional quarantine

All unvaccinated travelers, who are travelling from non-ban countries will have to enter institutional quarantine once they arrive in Saudi Arabia. It is the part of the measures implemented to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the Kingdom, an official outlet at the Ministry of Interior said during an announcement carried by the Saudi Press Agency on Monday.

The change, which will be implemented on May 20 (Thursday), requires all unvaccinated passengers to follow institutional quarantine protocols for 7 days and receive a compliant health insurance certificate to cover the risks of coronavirus.

In contrast to home quarantine, institutional quarantine is implemented at a clinic under the constant monitoring of the health authorities.

Unvaccinated passengers must also get a coronavirus PCR screening performed on the first and seventh days after their arrival in the Kingdom.

· Residents, citizens' mothers, daughters, and sons of citizens, and domestic helpers attending each of the foregoing classes are excluded from the controls.

· Domestic staff who have not been vaccinated are assisting a vaccinated resident.

· Passengers who have been immunized

· Delegations of the State

· Diplomatic visa holders, ambassadors, and their families living with them

· Airline and sea crew

· All port truck drivers and their assistants

· According to the Ministry of Health, anyone is interested in health supply chains.

The information strictly emphasized the importance of everybody following precautionary steps and following protective measures and not being complacent when it comes to health specifications.
