Iftar celebration in Dubai’s first five-star hotel

Princess Tarfa

The Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai Deira Creek, Dubai's first five-star hotel, is regarded as a real foodie resort. This is not only renowned for its fifteen award-winning restaurants serving delicacies from all over the world, but it has also been a common option for Iftar among loyal customers for the last forty-six years.

During the month of Ramadan in 2019, the hotel provided over 20,000 Iftar covers. Owing to regulations, this year will be somewhat different, but the team will guarantee that the quality of food and service, and the five-star service, stay unrivaled.

What is expected from this year's Iftar?

“For last forty-six years, our Iftar guests have been invited to a delicious meal every single day of Ramadan. This year is no exception given the extensive menu that we have planned. Our chefs will be cooking a huge array of over 200 delicacies from around the world.

Persian, Emirati, Middle Eastern, and foreign cuisines, and Asian and seafood dishes, will be available. Nearly every day, various live carvery stations and Iftar staples such as Lamb Ouzi, Machboos, Kabsa, and an assortment of succulent kebab grills will be available.

“There will be a dedicated dessert counter with famous Traditional sweets on sale, and numerous specialty cakes of our very special cake shop, Boulevard Gourmet,” says Sreejith Purushan, director of food and beverage for the Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai, Deira Creek.

Aside from top production of support, the team maintains the top goal towards the health and welfare of their clients. Sreejith adds, "We are delighted to announce that almost our whole hotel staff already has been vaccinated." All of our employees are well-equipped with PPE, numerous sanitation desks are located in the hotel, and social distancing is strictly enforced in all restaurants and common spaces.”

“Our Iftar this year may not be quite as large in terms of figures as it was before the pandemic due to social distancing initiatives, but our love for observing this holy occasion of Ramadan persists. We want to stay true to our status as one of Dubai's best Iftar spots,” Sreejith continues. The Grand Iftar at the Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai Deira Creek costs Dhs225 per guest, which includes Ramadan beverages.

In addition to dining options, the Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai Deira Creek will offer gourmet Iftar packages during Ramadan. “We recognize that Iftar is a family day, and several residents would like to end their fast in the warmth of their own home,” Sreejith says. We are excited to share that we will be able to put our award-winning iconic restaurants, Aseelah and Shabestan, directly to our customers' homes.”

Person and family-size Iftar meal boxes can be supplied to different households and areas in Dubai by the staff. There will be three distinct cuisines available: Arabic, Persian, and Indian. Shabestan's renowned Persian grills, Ghormeh Sabzi, and saffron rice will be on the Persian menu, while Aseelah's traditional dishes such as Lamb Thareed and Majboos will be on the Arabic menu. They've also included an Indian menu, which includes scrumptious comfort foods like Butter Chicken, Paneer Butter Masala, and Mutton Biryani.

Each box contains everything needed to break one's fast. A single-person Iftar box contains 15 different products, including dates, laban, orange juice, six different starters, four main dishes, sliced fruits, and a dessert. There are both vegetarian and non-vegetarian alternatives. Diners can select the Standard, Premium, or Family Box, which seats four guests, for each cuisine.

Orders can be given directly to the hotel by calling +971 4 205 7316/ 7317 or emailing booking.diningdubaicreek@radissonblu.com for delivery charges and more information about their food & beverage offers.
